Cast in Lead-free, Kid-Safe, Pewter in the USA by skilled American Crafts PeoplePepi found this interesting Key-Hole guard when he crawled into the attic of his almost 100 year old house on the banks of Crystal Lake in Connecticut.

 

He immediately became intrigued with the strange look of the sculpted image and couldn’t resist re-creating it for the Renaissance Faires.

 

Zephyrus is one of the seven Major Gods of Medieval Demonology. He is the god that creates the West Winds with his breath.

 

The West Winds are the Trade Winds that enabled the rich commerce of the Middle-Ages and Renaissance periods which, in turn, stimulated the growth of Culture and Rebirth of Knowledge that was lost in the Dark Age.

 

Zephyrus is said to be the mildest and gentlest of the wind deities; the Wind God of Spring.

 

He brings Good Luck and Fortune to those who possess this pendant.
